Do what you can, with what you have, where you are. Instead of seeing the rug being pulled from under us, we can learn to dance on a shifting carpet. Until you try, you do not know what you cannot do. I do not seek. I find. An objective without a plan is a dream. It is never too late to be what you might have been. If you do not do it excellently, do not do it at all. Because if it is not excellent, it will not be profitable or fun, and if you are not in business for fun or profit, what the hell are you doing there? Some people have greatness thrust upon them. Very few have excellence thrust upon them.

Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no ones definition of your life, but define yourself. The wisest men follow their own direction. Do not compromise yourself. You are all you have got. I do not seek. I find. Nothing comes from doing nothing. In times of stress, be bold and valiant. You cannot cross the sea merely by standing and staring at the water. Do not let yourself indulge in vain wishes. Remember, a dead fish can float downstream, but it takes a live one to swim upstream.

Stop freewheeling, get into gear, and do something with your life. There are so many avenues to explore, so why not explore them? Never be afraid to step into the unknown, into the new. Do it fearlessly, always expecting the very best as you do so. Nothing of great value in life comes easily. What lies before us and what lies beyond us is tiny compared to what lies within us. Do what you can, with what you have, where you are. You do not have to be a fantastic hero to do certain things, to compete. You can be just an ordinary chap, sufficiently motivated to reach challenging goals. Imagine you only have one year to live. What important things would you be doing? How would you be allotting your time to accomplish the most you could? This exercise is one method of going after your priorities.
